2000 AD & Judge Dredd 40th Anniversary Art Show Preview

Vice Press are going to be showing off 2000AD and Judge Dredd prints in Leeds, and today we’ve managed to get a preview of some of the prints. As somebody who grew up reading 2000AD this is like a trip down memory lane. Take a look at them below, and read on for details about the exhibition itself.

Vice Press have teamed with 2000 AD and Thought Bubble Festival to celebrate 40 Years of the Galaxy¹s Greatest comic with Zarjaz! An Art Tribute To 40 Years of 2000 AD; a Thrill-Powered gallery exhibition in Leeds featuring work by Earth¹s mightiest artists and designers from comics and pop culture!

Curated by artist and Vice Press co-founder Matt Ferguson, Zarjaz! An Art Tribute To 40 Years of 2000 AD includes a wide range of art featuring characters and titles from 2000 AD¹s rich history and will include over 40 new release created especially for the gallery. The gallery runs from September 1st through to September 30th at the Gallery at 164, Munro House, Leeds. We will also be hosting a special event held on the evening of Friday the 22nd of September from 7pm to celebrate the opening of the Thought Bubble convention. The gallery is free to attend!

Along with many other prints and originals still to be revealed, originals and prints will available to purchase in person from the opening night of Zarjaz! An Art Tribute To 40 Years of 2000 AD on September 1st at The Gallery at Munro House, Leeds. We will also be releasing several exclusive pieces on Friday the 22nd of September at the Thought Bubble event. Any remaining work will go up for sale on line at a later date at www.Vice-Press.com.

Zarjaz! An Art Tribute To 40 Years of 2000 AD is free to attend and will feature a truly staggering display of original tribute art and limited edition prints from the finest art droids to grace the pages of 2000 AD and the rare opportunity to witness some of contemporary comics¹ biggest names deliver their own takes on classic 2000 AD characters. The show will feature new and exclusive work by Carlos Ezquerra, Mick McMahon, Charlie Adlard, Chris Weston, Jock, Jason Edmiston, Michael Cho, Nick Derington, Tula Lotay, Tom Foster, Brett Ewins, Jake Lynch and many, many more. A must for posters and graphic art collectors as all of the unique work on display will be available to add to your collection.
