Blade Runner 2049 Trailer Arrives Online

While October 6th may be far off, that doesn’t mean we don’t have to wait that long for the Blade Runner 2049 trailer. Raising many questions once again as to who is a replicant and who isn’t, there appears to be a teaser of a war between humans and non-humans. Officer K (Ryan Gosling) also appears to be very similar to Deckard, which is probably why he hunts down Harrison Ford’s character. Is Officer K a replicant though? I guess we’ll have to wait until the movie is released to see. Until then, enjoy the new trailer below.

Visually stunning, it is safe to say the film is in safe hands with director Denis Villeneuve. I’m a huge fan of Arrival so I’m more than happy to see what he comes up with for Blade Runner 2049. From what we see in the trailer it is going to be well worth the wait. One thing I did notice was that it was trying very hard to stay with the style of the original, which may be a good thing or bad. We’ll just have to take a look at the finished product.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The film also stars Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis, and Sylvia Hoeks.
