New Poster and Trailer Revealed for Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire

Today we are treated with not only a new (but short) trailer for Free Fire, but a stylish poster as well. The trailer is described as the “hard” trailer, and gets straight to the point, guns and action. I think what fans will notice more though is the strangely dodgy accents that most of the cast have. I tend to think that these accents are part of the dark comedy of the piece.

Looking at the poster that we can see below, this fits the retro style of the film itself. Set in the seventies, the poster has that style that we’ve seen used during that era (and in artwork that try to remind us of that era). With Brie Larson taking centre stage it is safe to say all eyes are on the future Captain Marvel.

Justine (Brie Larson) has brokered a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two Irishmen (Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley) and a gang led by Vernon (Sharlto Copley) and Ord (Armie Hammer) who are selling them a stash of guns. But when shots are fired in the handover, a heart stopping game of survival ensues.
