New Ghost in the Shell Trailer Helps Rid the Monday Blues

So it is that day again we all dread, Monday. We wake up to find that another week has begun and the weekend has ended. How do we deal with this horrid realisation? We watch the new Ghost in the Shell trailer which has been revealed today. Showing much more of the story of the film and lots of shots of Scarlett Johansson kicking ass, this is sure to create plenty of hype for the film.

Ghost in the Shell of course is not without its controversy, especially around Scarlett Johansson’s casting as Major. The fact that the film is even being made annoys some, but from what I can see it does look very good. One thing we can also note is the fact that the original anime will remain untouched in its classic form for us to enjoy too. So in many ways it is a win-win situation for fans of Ghost in the Shell. That is of course, if the film lives up to the hype surrounding it.

Based on the internationally-acclaimed Japanese Anime property, GHOST IN THE SHELL follows Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9 devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists. Directed by Rupert Sanders. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, “Beat” Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, and Kaori Momoi.

Ghost in the Shell
