High-Rise’s Latest Teaser Poster Hints at a Dark Foreboding Future

Today we have the latest teaser poster for Ben Wheatley’s HIGH-RISE. Adapted from J.G. Ballard’s visionary novel by screenwriter Amy Jump and starring Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans and Elisabeth Moss. As you can see from this one it has a dark foreboding feeling to it, so maybe this is a warning not to enter the building. As every fool on the rise does though, I’m sure Tom Hiddleston is going up in that elevator, probably to his doom. HIGH-RISE will arrive in UK cinemas 18th March 2016 when you can decide if you want to rise in society…or plummet off the top of the building.

high-rise
1975. Two miles west of London, Dr. Robert Laing moves into his new apartment seeking soulless anonymity, only to find that the building’s residents have no intention of leaving him alone. Resigned to the complex social dynamics unfolding around him, Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighbourly. As he struggles to establish his position, Laing’s good manners and sanity disintegrate along with the building. The lights go out and the lifts fail but the party goes on. People are the problem. Booze is the currency. Sex is the panacea. Only much later, as he sits on his balcony eating the architect’s dog, does Dr. Robert Laing finally feel at home.

Will you be enterting the HIGH-RISE when the film releases 18th March? Or is this new poster enough to warn you off trying to elevate yourself in society? It’ll all end up in doom. so you have been warned.
