New Poster & Trailer for Point Break Remake Focuses on the Extreme

We’ve known that the Point Break remake has been in the works, and now we have the trailer to watch, debate over and for some complain about.  I like the original Point Break, and all I will say is that this is not it.  Does that make this new interpretation a bad-looking movie? The simple answer to that is no.  Looking closer to the style of Fast & Furious (or Vin Diesel’s other movie xXx) rather that the movie that we all know and love, this is a new take on the story of Utah (Luke Bracey) and Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez) and I think it should be given a chance.  Starring Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez, Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer and directed by Ericson Core, Point Break comes to cinemas in the UK January 8th 2015.

A young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez).  The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways.

Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes.

The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture.  These action adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.
