Alien: Isolation – Can Misdirection & Locked Doors Save You?

We’ve seen a few of these short trailers for Alien: Isolation now and they’ve all followed the same theme…you are going to die.  Todays two are Nowhere is Safe, and Misdirection.  Nowhere is Safe proves that even if you’ve locked a door and the Xenomorph is trapped, did you take the time to secure the whole room? Well this player obviously didn’t.

This second video highlights how misdirection can be a good strategy, the only problem is again if you don’t plan your escape route you may make too much noise, leading to your death.  Just watch what happens when you set off an alarm…

This week sees the release of two further trailers in Alien: Isolation’s #HowWillYouSurvive series of shorts. In Misdirection, we show you just how powerful the Noisemaker can be in drawing away the attention of the creature… for a while. Nowhere is Safe shows that when it comes to strategy, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Whatever plan you prepare or tactics you try, you need to be thinking one step ahead of him if you’re going to make it out alive. So… how will you survive?

Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror game capturing the fear and tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film. Players find themselves in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, ruthless Xenomorph is stalking and killing deep in the shadows. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

Alien: Isolation will be available from October 7, 2014, for Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
