Chinese Zodiac – Jonathan Ross interviews Kung Fu Legend Jackie Chan

When it comes to “Kung Fu” movies Bruce Lee in my opinion will always be the best star, but Jackie Chan is high up on my list of favourite stars.  Charismatic, very talented and somewhat of a clown he has worked with the best including Bruce Lee and has managed to not only work his way to the top of the industry but also wormed his way into most film fans hearts.  BFI Southbank recently had a screening of his latest movie Chinese Zodiac which also included a question and answer session with Jonathan Ross which you can watch here.

Kung Fu superstar Jackie Chan visited BFI Southbank for a screening of his film Chinese Zodiac and an exclusive career interview with Jonathan Ross.  Chinese Zodiac is available now on DVD and Blu-ray by Universal Pictures (UK). The event was part of the British Film Institute’s A Century of Chinese Cinema season sponsored by Lycamobile, the largest global provider of low-cost international mobile calls.

The BFI’s A Century of Chinese Cinema season launched on June 1st and will continue to October 7th at BFI Southbank. The BFI season is the largest and most comprehensive exploration of Chinese cinema ever to be undertaken in the UK, and is programmed in partnership with TIFF and other sponsors include Cathay Pacific Airways and the hotel group Shangri-La.

The season forms a key part of Electric Shadows, the BFI’s extensive year-long programme of business, trade, creative and cultural collaborations with China. Running in parallel with a British film season in China – launched this week at the Beijing International Film Festival, at which Lycamobile was present – the project affords Lycamobile exposure in both countries.  The main sponsorship sees Lycamobile featured across all relevant advertising and collateral in the BFI Southbank venue, the BFI Southbank Guides and the BFI website as well as at the Beijing and Shanghai International Film Festivals.

Subaskaran Allirajah, Group Chairman, Lycamobile, said:

“Jackie Chan is a huge star, loved and admired by the global film community.  We know our Chinese customers are incredibly proud of Chan’s success and consider him an ambassador to their country and its successes. This has been a fantastic summer of Chinese film and it is an honour to have Chan lending his support to a project for which the BFI and all its partners should feel very proud.”
