Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Survivors and Dismembered – Infographic

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has quite a history of being a video nasty and being banned in the UK, of being seen as violent and gory but the truth is the first film at least didn’t feature that much blood.  Then the second film came along and decided to change all that and in turn became one of my favourite Chainsaw movies.  The third was ok, but then when it got to the Next Generation and I think all the fans suddenly wondered what the hell was going on, how could they mess it up so badly?

After The Next Generation near enough killed off the franchise next came the remake.  I know that many don’t like the Platinum Dunes version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre but I do, and I know there are others that do too and it had it’s place.  Then of course came the prequel, I think we can just pass that one by right? Of course we can.

To bring us bang up to date we now have Texas Chainsaw, a film that fears the word massacre (I’m joking).  This remake/reboot took a brave choice and altered the origin story for good old Leatherface and many hated it.  I hated a few scenes and a REALLY bad line in the film but for the most part I tend to think that it was quite a worthy attempt at making a Chainsaw movie, and on home release it had a few good gory scenes.  If anything it’s a nice change from the Twilight movies.

To get on topic though here is an interesting infographic that takes a look at who survived in all of the movies and who died.  I find it interesting that the earlier films have less deaths and the more modern versions seemed to rely on them more.  In ways it shows the difference between older horrors and modern, but that is beyond the point just enjoy the interesting facts:
